Simplicity is Elegance
In this lovely island property, the indoor living spaces blend seamlessly with a sizable pergola beside the tranquil pool. Subtle details like the carefully placed paving stones with thoughtful jointing create simple, elegant views from inside the home.
The entry procession features foundation plantings that just tickle the bottom of each window sill so that colorful blooms are visible but don’t obstruct the views.
The plant palette responds to the architecture of the home, blending native plants with ornamental cultivars like the hardworking Limelight Hydrangeas, which change from white to lime blooms in early August, aging to pink and burgundy tones in the fall. Finished with simple fencing, pool surround and stone coping, and an interesting paving pattern interspersed with turf, this to-the-point landscape looks beautiful not just from the outside but also from the inside looking out.
We have a long history of working on fantastic projects with local landscape architect Kristen Reimann, who created a palette of plants with unique characteristics for this standout Vineyard landscape.
